Funeral Services for Mr. John Henry Curtis, 74, were held on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Ronk Funeral Home with R.L. McCollum officiating.
Mr. Curtis passed away peacefully on January 13, 2021. He was born September 7, 1946 to his parents Elmer Alonzo Curtis and Eula Corinne Ellis Curtis.
John Henry spent his life devoted to his family, friends, and his love for the outdoors. He worked for TWRA for almost 30 years and developed many relationships with those he encountered. You could often find him at a local gathering place drinking coffee and talking with his friends, tending to his garden, or splitting wood with his favorite twins.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Leroy Curtis, Nathan Curtis; and grandson, Jameson Bogue.
Surviving relatives include his loving wife, Cathy Curtis; sons, John L. Curtis (Leslie), Josh Hazlewood; daughters, Lauria Bogue (Anthony), Lisa Moore (Dusty), Cristy Harber; brother, Edward Curtis (Annette); sisters, Ruth Allen, Mavis Callison, Betty Hamilton; grandchildren, Spencer, Tyler, Mason, Blake, Samantha, Haley, Zachary, Jackson, and Dax, who is expected to arrive in April; 13 great grandchildren; and lots of nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held from 10-11 a.m. before the service Saturday, January 16 at Ronk Funeral Home.
