William G. “Bill” Kirk was born August 10, 1941, in Chicago, IL, to his late parents William G Kirk, Sr. and Olive Bess Hickman Kirk. He passed away on March 11, 2023, due to dementia at the age of 81. He worked as a sheet metal man most of his life. Bill was a long-time member of the Elizabeth United Methodist Church and was very active in Scouting for several years.
He leaves behind his wife of fifty years, Brenda Manley Kirk; children, Carolyn Kirk Peters (George), Colleen Kirk Chambliss (Terry), Eric Kirk (Amanda), Alison Kirk (Brad); sister, Jan Kirk Lawson (Jim); five granddaughters and one grandson.
Funeral Services for Bill will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, March 16, 2023, in the Chapel of Ronk Funeral Home with Mary Ellen Cochran officiating. Burial will follow at the Crockett Mills Christian Church Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be from 9:00 am – 11:00 am prior to the service.
