Jessie “Bubba” Owens

Jessie “Bubba” Owens passed away peacefully on April 4, 2022 at Saint Francis Hospital in Bartlett, TN. He was born on June 9, 1937 in Crockett Mills, TN to the late Leon and Evie Owens.
Jessie was retired from Kimberly Clark in Memphis, TN. He loved to travel and after retirement he was fortunate enough to drive a tour bus where he got to travel all over the United States and Canada. After several years of traveling he was diagnosed with cancer and was forced to retire a second time. Jessie was a very generous and caring man who loved people and always put the needs of his family and others before his own.
Along with his parents his sisters Katie Lee Williams, Louise Hicks and Helen Holder preceded him in death. His brother Horace Owens also precedes him in death. He is survived by his sister Shirley Turnage of Alamo, Tennessee.
Jessie is survived by his wife of 58 years, Judy Moore Owens, daughters, Traci Pinner and Lori Norton, grandchildren Katie Norton, Robbie Pinner and Andy Norton. He is also survived by one great-grandchild, Eli Pinner that he referred to as “my baby”.
A celebration of life will by held at Ronk Funeral Home in Alamo, TN on Thursday April 7 2022, at 12:00 noon . Visitation will be directly before the service starting at 10:00 am until the time of service.
Burial will follow at Oak View Memorial Park in Alamo, TN.
Memorials can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or First Christian Church in Bells, TN.
