Iris Earnheart Leslie went to be with the Lord on June 1, 2022, at the age of 65 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 28, 1957 in Dyersburg, TN and is the daughter to the late Max and Edna Earnheart. She worked as a medical transcriptionist at The Jackson Clinic where she touched many lives and made many friends. She is survived by her partner LeRoy Menge of Friendship, TN; daughter, Kristel (Devon) Jones of Friendship, TN; two sons Keith (Kiki) Leslie of Arlington, TN and Austin (Abby) Leslie of White Bluff, TN; three grandchildren Keaton Montgomery, Patricia Iris Leslie, and Victoria Rose Leslie; three sisters Linda Bates of Friendship, TN, Laura (Jimmy) Riggins of Alamo, TN, Sarah (Bill) Baker of Ripley, MS; brother Max (Connie) Earnheart Jr. of Jacksonville, FL; and many other friends who were thought of as family. Per her request, her body has been donated to Vanderbilt University in hopes she can help others in the future.
SERVICES: A memorial service will be held at 12:00 on June 11, 2022 at Alamo First Christian Church, 1550 Hwy 88 South, Alamo, TN 38001. In Lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to be made in memory of Iris Leslie to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse, or Autism Tennessee.
