Ms. Kathryn “Jean” Gourley, 91, passed away peacefully at her home, Saturday, February 26, 2022. 
Jean was born January 10, 1931 to the late Roy Edward Parker and Erma May Stewart Forrest of Crockett Mills, Tennessee.
Jean is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Letcher (Lex) Gourley; brother Dalton Parker; sister Ann Horner; grandson, Freddie (Fred) Lynn Pratt.
She is survived by her sister, Judy Whitehorn; daughters, Roberta Gourley Eskew (Barry) and Melody Gourley Ligons; grandchildren, Rona Eskew Kee (Chad) , Trent Eskew, Carol Pratt Kail (Stephen); great grandchildren Eli Kee (Kaitlyn), Summar Eskew, Luke Besinger, Dalton Kail, Jaxson Kail; great great grandchildren, Levi, Thomason, and Grey Kee.
Ms. Jean loved her Lord, family, and church. She enjoyed gardening, peacocks, chickens, sewing, working on the farm, and helping care for the sick in the neighborhood. In her younger years, she taught the juniors and youth at church. In her older years, she taught the ladies older group. She went to work for Alamo Nursing Home for 2 years and for Jackson Madison County General Hospital for 21 years until her retirement at age 78. 
Funeral Services will be at Ronk Funeral Home, Saturday March 5, 2022, 2:00 pm. Visitation will start at 11:00 am in Ronk Funeral Home Chapel until the time of service.
