Tritt to make her third state appearance

Mary Scott Tritt, a Crockett County High School junior, will make her third state appearance after coming in first place at the region tournament on Tuesday, October 22.

Tritt ran 20:07.57 and has a goal to break 20. “Competition at State Saturday will be very fast and she will try to run with the top 30 to achieve this goal,” said Coach Julie Crider.

“I am really proud of the entire team this year. We’ve been rebuilding our program after the loss of a lot of great talent a few years ago. This group really stepped it up and finished in the top third of teams all season. They are already talking about trying to qualify for State as a team next year and what that will take in training. It has been a fun season watching them grow as runners and as people.”
