Notice is hereby given that on the 16th  day of March 2026, Letters of Testamentary in respect to the estate of Carolyn Williams who died Testate, were issued to the undersigned by the Probate Court of Crockett County, Tennessee.

All persons, resident and non-resident, having claims, matured or unmatured, against the estate are required to file the same with the Clerk of the above-named Court in triplicate on or before the earlier of the dates prescribed in (1) or (2) otherwise their claims will be forever barred.

(1)    (A)  Four (4) months from the date of the first publication (or posting, as the case may be) of this notice if the creditor received an actual copy of this notice to creditors at least sixty (60) days before the date that is four (4) months from the date of the first publication (or posting); or

REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP)

Solid Waste Collection & Disposal Services

Town of Alamo, Tennessee

Sealed Proposals will be received by the Town of Alamo, Tennessee, for collection and disposal of residential and commercial solid waste at the City Hall, 97 S. Johnson St. Alamo, Tennessee 38001, on or before May 1, 2026, 2:00 p.m., Central Time. The work performed under this contract will be that of a professional solid waste collection and disposal service, from July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2030. The contract will be for four years with one optional two-year renewal.

The envelope containing the proposal must be sealed and plainly marked "Proposal for Solid Waste Collection and Disposal Service.” The sealed bids, invited by the Town of Alamo, will be received by Amanda Griffin, Town Recorder, City Hall, 97 S. Johnson St., Alamo, Tennessee, until 2:00:00 p.m. (Central Time) on Friday, May 1, 2026 at which time they will be opened and publicly read aloud and a contract awarded at the next regular meeting of the Alamo Mayor and Board of Aldermen. In making its award, the Town of Alamo will evaluate, in addition to pricing, the administrative capability, the equipment on hand and condition, references, work load, disposal plan, past performance, and conformance to other conditions or preferences stated in the General Specifications section of the RFP, and any other element of a proposal by a bidder that the Town of Alamo finds valuable. In short, the lowest price quoted may not win the subsequent award, as these other evaluation criteria are extremely important to the Town and the decision of the Board of Mayor and Aldermen shall be final. It is the policy of the Town of Alamo that all Town-sponsored public meetings and events are accessible to people with disabilities. If you need assistance in participating in this meeting or event due to a disability as defined under the ADA, please call the Town Recorder (ADA Coordinator) at 731-696-4515 at least three (3) business days prior to the scheduled meeting to request an accommodation. 

Proposals must be made on the Proposal Forms and in accordance with Instructions to Bidders furnished by the Town of Alamo. Bidders must request the “Instructions to Bidders” no later than Noon April 15, 2026. The Instructions to Bidders will be provided electronically. Any request for clarifications of bidding instructions or any other question shall be forwarded electronically to the Town Recorder no later than Noon April 22, 2026. All questions will be answered in electronic form only and will be furnished to every bidder who has requested the Instructions to Bidders package. The defined terms appearing in the General Specifications apply to all Contract Documents. 

A proposal bond or certified check must accompany the Proposal, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.

The Town of Alamo reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals regarding the collection and disposal of solid waste, to waive irregularities and/or informalities in any Proposal, and to make an award in any manner, consistent with law, deemed in the best interest of the Town.
