Joyce Kinzer Archibald, age 84, of Alamo, Tenn., formerly of Maury City, Tenn. and Memphis, Tenn., passed away on March 5, 2023 after a brief illness.  She leaves behind her husband of 65 years, Gordon Archibald; her son Richard Archibald of Collierville, Tenn.; her daughter Cindy Akin of Cordova, Tenn.; and four grandchildren, James and Michael Archibald, and Ashley and Chris Akin.  She was preceded in death by her parents Gordon and Kate Kinzer of Crockett County, Tenn., and her siblings Peggy (Kinzer) Land, Bobby Kinzer and Jerry Kinzer.  She also leaves behind many great friends.
Throughout her life, she enjoyed boating, water skiing, dancing, tending to her flower gardens and lawn, cooking delicious southern food, sewing, reading novels, and working crossword and Sudoku puzzles.  She was also a star basketball player at Maury City High School. 
Visitation for family and friends will be held on March 11, 2023, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Ronk Funeral Home, 106 S. Bells St., Alamo, TN, with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 pm also at Ronk Funeral Home, with Larry Harper officiating.  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
