Trudy Shaw Hamberlin

A precious mother and grandmother, Trudy Shaw Hamberlin, 89, passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Brandon Rehab and Nursing Center, Brandon, Mississippi. Due to the current pandemic, a private service will be held at a later date. Trudy was born in Berlin, Germany. She was the daughter of the late George and Hanne Thiel. Trudy moved to the United States shortly after marrying then Sgt. Bill Shaw. After being stationed in Texas and Okinawa Bill retired from the Army and they became longtime residents of Jackson. She loved her family and relished working alongside her husband at their restaurants and convenience store. Upon their retirement, they moved to Friendship and joined Zion Hill Baptist Church. She was a loving and devoted wife to her husband Bill for over 55 years until his death in 2005. In 2012 she married retired Col. Lawrence Hamberlin and relocated to Brandon, Mississippi, enjoying their time together until his death in 2019. Preceding her in death were sons, Dan Shaw (Dianne), Ronnie Shaw (Cathy), She leaves behind her son, Mike Shaw (Theresa), five grandchildren ,four great grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends. She will be greatly missed.
