Pack 53 annual Pinewood Derby

Alamo Cubscout Pack 53 held their annual Pinewood Derby Race on Saturday, February 15 with 48 cars racing.

Out of five kindergarten Lion racers, Marcus Valdez placed first, Cooper Hacher placed second and Riley Douglas placed third.

Five first grade Tigers raced with Jace Kelly placing first, Nathan Austin placing second and Brody Kail placing third.

Out of 14 second grade Wolf scouts, Caleb Ferguson placed first, Kayden Cole placed second and Mason Ivey placed third.

Eleven third grade Bear scouts participated with Blain Winchester placing first, Victor Valdez placing second and AJ Hatcher placing third.

Fourth grade Webelos scouts included five participants with Ethan Carter placing first, Triston Emery placing second and James Miller placing third.

Out of the six siblings who raced after the official Cubscout Derby was complete, McLean Turnage placed first, Noah Cole placed second and Corbin Hatcher placed third.

In additional categories, Kaidence Mccurry received Most Colorful, Hunter Scallions received Biggest Car, Jace Kelly received Smallest Car, Brody Kail received Most Realistic, Keaton Montgomery received Best Imagination, Braden Sills received Best Paint Job, Christian Ward Best in Show Division I, Landon Woods Best in Show Division II and Cooper Hatcher received the Sportsmanship award.

Overall Division I winner Caleb Ferguson was and overall Division II winner was Blaine Winchester.

Ferguson and Winchester will move on to compete in the West Tennessee Area Council Central District race.
