One dead in single vehicle crash

A single vehicle crash resulted in one fatality on Monday, January 4.

Bret Johnson, 54 of Humboldt, was traveling eastbound on Pinehills Road, just outside of Gadsden, when his white Ford Ranger exited the left side of the roadway. His vehicle came to a stop approximately 300 yards from the road where he struck a tree.

AirEvac was on scene to transport Johnson but he succumbed to his injuries shortly after their arrival and died on scene.
