Sassy Grace/Southern Gents recently opened their second store location in Bells. The store sells many different clothing brands for men, women and children. Started by Tammy Lewis, Sassy Grace/Southern Gents opened their first store in Jackson a few years ago, before now deciding to open the Bells location.
Lewis lived in Friendship for years, and her son Cody VanDyke, who is the General Manager of the store, graduated from Crockett County High School. Lewis attended Union University where she received her degree in accounting and was in that field for many years.
In 2018, Lewis decided to open a boutique as part of her “Retirement Plan” for the summer. She first started the shop in her home by selling items online before moving a few times and finally landing in their current location on Union University Drive in Jackson.
“We decided to expand to another area and Bells seemed to be the obvious choice,” Lewis said about the new location.
Right in time for holiday shopping, on December 1, the new Bells location will undergo some changes, Lewis said. The store location will soon be renamed SG Consignment & Sale Boutique and a good number of the items will be $20 and under.
“Our mission is to provide clothing and accessories to the entire family,” Lewis said.
Sassy Grace/Southern Gents, or soon to be known as SG Consignment & Sale Boutique, is open on the weekends only, with hours being Saturday from 11a.m. to 4:00 p.m and Sunday 12-3p.m. They also offer shopping appointments and online shopping at www.sassygracesoutherngent.com.
