Little Leagues Begin Recruitment

Sign-ups for the Cal Ripken Little League baseball season have begun.  Community members can visit the Crockett County, TN Cal Ripken Baseball Facebook page to access the sign-up sheet.

The league is run entirely by volunteer parents and community members who dedicate their time to coaching and mentoring young players. Children of all genders, ages 3 to 12, are encouraged to participate, as everyone plays together on the same teams.

All registered children will have the opportunity to play.. The registration fee is $75 for ages 3-4 and $85 for ages 5 and up, which covers a hat, belt, jersey, and pants.

As the season progresses, players will compete in multiple games, resulting in an All-Star selection. Those chosen will form an All-Star team to represent the league.

"We are very invested in the kids. We want them to learn. None of this goes back to us—we do it for the children," said James Reunions, Interim President.

The sign up deadline is February 8 and the draft day is February 11.
