Lester Neal Carpenter, born February 4, 1975, in Trenton, Tennessee, was an embodiment of dedication, talent, and support. Lester, a retired lawn care specialist, was the heart and soul of Superior Lawn Maintenance, where his commitment to his craft was admired by many. His dedication was not just apparent in his profession, but in every aspect of his life, including his passions. Lester was a talented mechanic, often found tinkering on his beloved old Ford truck. His love for the outdoors was unparalleled, and he found joy in the simplicity of a fishing line, the tranquility of a camping trip, and the roar of a tractor’s engine.
Lester’s supportive side was most evident in his love for his family. As Mark Twain once said, “The secret of success is making your vocation your vacation,” and this was true for Lester. His work was his hobby, and his hobby was his love, but above all, his family was his world. His grandchildren, Marshall, Charlie, Maddie, Evelyn, Shane, and Lillian Carpenter, were the apples of his eye. He loved spending time with them, imparting wisdom, and sharing laughter. Lester is survived by his mother, Florence Ann Shutes (Jerry), his sons, Zachary Carpenter (Sarah) and Nicholas Carpenter, his lifelong partner, Stacie Swindle, his brothers, Josh Ward, Joe Ward, and Ronnie Ward (Ashley), his sister, Candy Sheckles (Fain), his niece Kimber Ward and nephew Dalton Ward.
A memorial service to celebrate Lester’s life will be held at a later date. Cremation services are under the direction of Ronk Funeral Home.
