The Crockett County High School Lady Cavaliers started the week with a 19-point victory against South Gibson Lady Hornet and ended with an upset by Westview Martin Lady Chargers.
Monday, January 14 proved to be a successful night for the Lady Cavs as they defeated the Lady Hornets 53-34 and senior Yasmine Pankey scored her 1,000-career point during the contest.
The Lady Cavs finished each quarter in the lead and scored a 19-point victory.
Pankey scored an impressive 18 points, freshmen Karmen Frost scored in the double digits with 14 points, Haylee Rinks scored 9 points, Raegan Holyfield scored 8 points and Mackenzie Butler scored 4 points.
At home on Friday, January 17, Westview 56-40 upset the Lady Cavs.
Lady Chargers took an 11 point lead in the first quarter and continued to gain momentum against the Lady Cavs.
Pankey contributed 15 points, Ellie Hoover scored 11 points, Holyfield scored 5 points, Rinks and Butler scored a three point shot each, Janiya Jones scored 2 points and Frost score a single point.
The Lady Cavaliers will return to the court Tuesday, January 21 at 6 p.m. in Milan, at home against Obion Central on Friday, January 24 at 6 p.m. and in Gibson County on Monday, January 27 at 6 p.m.
