Junior “Dennis” Bardwell

Junior Bardwell, who was fondly called “Dennis”, was born in Henderson County Cedar Grove to, the late Dennis ad Daisy Thomas Bardwell. Junior was the only son the family was blessed with. They were also blessed with a daughter, Louise Bardwell, who preceded him in death.

Junior was a man of faith and regularly attended worship services. He was a member of House of Faith. He also attended various churches and was a faithful servant of the Lord. Junior attended the public school system in Lexington and graduated from Montgomery High School in 1965. Following graduation, Junior was employed with Jones Brothers Construction. He thrived on doing concrete work and took great pride in every project.

Junior was united in holy matrimony on April 28, 2006 to Carrie Mitchell in Jackson. Junior and Carrie, together raise five children. Junior was a kind and friendly man that was loved and respected by everyone who knew him. He was also called “Smiley”, “Uncle Smoky”, and “Lil Daddy”. He had kind and giving heart and would so anything for anyone, always keeping a smile on his fave. Junior loved the small town of Alamo. He loved being with his friends and family. He always looked forward to one of his annual favorite activities of attending and fellowshipping with the men in Brownsville at the Wild Game Dinner.

Junior “Dennis” Bardwell, 74, of Alamo departed from this life on December 22, 2020 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital with his family by his side.

Cherished memories of Junior will be shared by his wife Carrie; five children Perry, Felicia, Denise, Jason and Chasity; grandchildren Travon, Dee, Ella, Kingston, Joshua, Joseph, Benjamin, Rodney, Roderick, Emily, Brooklyn, and Jeremy; aunts Virginia Richardson, Ruth Johnson, Margret Simmons; nephews Roy, Larry, Lyndon, Ray Parker; nieces Wilma and Glorious Ann Carter; a “special” uncle in L.A. Jerry Bardwell; nine sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, and a host of other relatives and many, many friends.
