Crockett County native, Jena Eubanks, has been promoted as the first female sergeant in the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) Jackson District Special Programs.
Eubanks grew up in the Gadsden community and graduated from Crockett County High School in 2006.
“I’ve always wanted to help people and I thought one of the best ways I could help people was to join law enforcement,” said Eubanks.
She graduated from the University of Memphis in 2010 with a degree in applied anthropology.
She started the academy in March 2013 and graduated in July of the same year and began working with the THP Jackson district since then.
“My favorite part of the job in interacting with the public,” said Eubanks. “I always love educating the public about Tennessee law, how the highway patrol operates and how to always be safe.”
