Debra McDowel and her grandson were left with nothing after a house fire on Monday, March 8.l Around midnight, her home on Highway 88 between Alamo and Maury City became fully engulfed in flames.
She and her grandson were able to escape the blaze uninjured but the home and vehicle were a total loss.
Her employer, Stribling Lawn Care and Landscapes has begun taking monetary donations, as well as clothing and household items.
Clothing sizes for Debra are size large or 12 in pants, large or extra large shirts and size 8.5 shoes. Her hobbies also include sewing and photography.
Her grandson wears size 10-12 pants, 10-12 or 14-16 shirts and 3.5 shoes. He enjoys playing Nintendo Switch, Legos and Hot Wheels.
Following the events of Monday night, McDowel was simply grateful to everyone in the community that reached out to help her in whatever way they could.
