Jesse Lee Scott

Jesse Lee Scott, 79, passed away on March 21, 2025, in St. Augustine, Florida from complications of Alzheimer’s Disease.

Born on December 15, 1945, in Brownsville, Tennessee, Jesse lived a life marked by kindness, generosity, and a deep commitment to those around him.

He proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1972 as part of the 32nd Air Defense Division, spending much of his service stationed in Homestead, FL and in Germany. Jesse was deeply cherished by family and friends.

His thoughtful nature and willingness to help others left a lasting impact on all who knew him. He is survived by his son, Thomas Earl Scott; sisters Dianna Eytaly and Remona Scott; as well as several nieces and nephews. Jesse was preceded in death by his first wife, Maria Tipton (Kness); his second wife, Beth Ann Scott (Bram); and their daughter, Jessica Nicole Scott; his parents, Earl Clendon Scott and Vollie Jean Scott (Young); brother Amos Earl Scott; and sister Marilyn Joyce Powell (Scott).

A private memorial gathering for family and close friends will be held later this year, with details forthcoming. Jesse’s ashes will be interred in Wisconsin where his daughter and her mother are buried. Jesse’s memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched and left behind.
