Special agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, in coordination with the Crockett County Sheriff’s Office, have arrested and charged a local woman in connection with an arson that occurred in Bells.
Authorities began investigating a suspicious fire on April 1 that destroyed a recreational vehicle at a residence in the 4900 block of Johnson’s Grove. During the course of the investigation, agents identified Stephanie Tinker, 36, as the individual responsible for starting the fire.
Tinker was arrested the same day and charged with one count of setting fire to personal property. She was booked into the Crockett County Jail.
Officials emphasize that the charges are merely allegations. Tinker is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
