Advertisement for Bids

Town of Maury City will be soliciting bids for High Service Pump Replacement, Water Treatment Plant, located in Maury City, Tennessee. The High Service Pump Replacement, Water Treatment Plant is a public works project with several functions for the Maury City, Tennessee community. The Project includes furnishing and installing high service pumps at the water treatment plant of the water system.

This project is being supported by the American Rescue Plan Act, Coronavirus State and Local Recovery Fund grant funding. Therefore, certain restrictions and other federal requirements attach to this opportunity.

Separate sealed bids for High Service Pump Replacement, Water Treatment Plant will be received by Town of Maury City, 332 North Broadway Street, Maury City, TN  38050, until 2:00 PM on July 21, 2025, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. A bid bond or certified check for five percent (5%) of the total bid amount must accompany each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond in the amount of his bid and shall, before entering on the work of said contract, be licensed as a contractor of the Town of Maury City. Bids must be submitted with envelope label (provided in the bid documents) affixed to the front of the envelope.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Pursuant to Tennessee Code Annotated Section 13-7-105, notice is hereby given of a public hearing to be held by the Crockett County Commission at 6:30 PM on Monday, the 21st day of July, 2025 at the Crockett County Court House. The hearing is to receive public input on two proposed zoning map amendments and one proposed zoning text amendment.

The first zoning map amendment would rezone property located at 1155 Highway 54 (Tax Map 55, Parcel 3.00) from FAR (Forestry-Agricultural-Residential) to C-2 (General Commercial). The request was made by the property owner, Tennessee Tractor LLC.

The second zoning map amendment would rezone properties located at 11024 & 12402 Highway 88 (Tax Map 42, Parcels 31.00 & 31.01) from FAR (Forestry-Agricultural-Residential) to C-2 (General Commercial). The request was made by the property owner, Joel Fincher.

The zoning text amendment would establish general dwelling standards for residential structures proposed within the County.

Any interested party is invited to appear before the Crockett County Commission and be heard in objection or in favor of the adoption, thereof. Copies of the proposed amendments are available for public examination in the Office of the County Mayor during normal business hours.

Notice is hereby given that on the 6th day of June 2025, Letters of Testamentary (or of Administration as the case may be) in respect to the estate of Steven Russell Hunt who died Intestate, was issued to the undersigned by the Probate Court of Crockett County, Tennessee. 

All persons, resident and non-resident, having claims, matured or unmatured, against the estate are required to file the same with the Clerk of the above-named Court in triplicate on or before the earlier of the dates prescribed in (1) or (2) otherwise their claims will be forever barred. 

(1) (A) Four (4) months from the date of the first publication (or posting, as the case may be) of this notice if the creditor received an actual copy of this notice to creditors at least sixty (60) days before the date that is four (4) months from the date of the first publication (or posting); or
