Alamo Schedules Semi-Annual Junk Pickup for April 7

Posted

The Town of Alamo will begin its semi-annual junk pickup on Monday, April 7. Residents are asked to have all items placed at the curb by Monday morning, as the collection crews will make only one pass down each street. There will be no return trips.

Residents may begin placing items at the curb as early as Friday, April 4. The town emphasizes that only acceptable items will be collected. Prohibited materials include brush, tires, paint, hazardous waste and any liquids.

To help ensure a smooth and efficient collection, residents are encouraged to follow these helpful tips:

Place items neatly at the curb and avoid blocking sidewalks or roadways.

Keep junk separate from regular household garbage and recycling.

Secure any loose items to prevent scattering in case of wind or rain.

Do not include items that are specifically listed as prohibited.

For more information, residents are encouraged to contact the town office prior to the collection date.
