One lucky Crockett County lottery player will start the New Year off with $50,000 more than they ended 2019 with.

This weekend’s Tennessee Lottery drawing produced a $50,000 Powerball winner from Bells.

The player purchased the ticket at Fill and Go located at 6022 Highway 412 S. in Bells.

They won by matching four numbers plus the Powerball. The Saturday, January 4 numbers were 1, 11, 21, 25, 54 and Powerball 7.

The $50,000 prize has not been claimed and no additional information about who the winner may be is available at this time.

Winners are urged to sign the back of their ticket so no one else can claim the prize should it become lost or stolen and keep the ticket in a safe place until ready to claim the prize.

All Powerball prizes must be claimed in the same state that the ticket was purchased in. Prizes $600 or more can be claimed from a local district office, claim center or lottery headquarters. Winnings can also be collected by mail by sending the signed winning ticket to the states lottery office along with a completed prize claim form. Some states do have limits on how much can be claimed through the mail and local lottery offices must be contacted before mailing a winning ticket.

Jackpot prizewinners must contact state or jurisdiction lottery headquarters to arrange to claim prizes where the ticket will be verified and the method of payment decided upon.

Tennessee winners have 180 days to claim their winnings.
