Shirley Ann Whitehead

Mrs. Shirley Ann Whitehead, born Shirley Ann Howell, passed from this earth on August 27, 2022. She was born in Alamo, TN, March 31, 1938, to her parents Robert Howell and Maggie Stark Howell. Mrs. Shirley worked in the Cafeteria at Alamo Elementary School until she retired.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father; Husband, Allen Whitehead Jr.; half-brother, Hardeman Howell; brother, Bobby Howell; sisters, Jane Lowery (Howell), Dale Edge (Howell); stepdaughter, Lisa Abbott (Hamilton).
Those left behind to cherish Shirley’s memory are her brother, Pete Howell; sons, Allen Whitehead III (Lindsay Whitehead), Andrew Whitehead (Cynthia Whitehead); 10 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, as well as several great nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Mrs. Shirley’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, September 2, 2022, in the Chapel of Ronk Funeral Home with Tony Nethery officiating. Burial will follow at Oakview Memorial Gardens.
Visitation for family and friends will be held the same day as the service from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Ronk Funeral Home.
