Graveside services for Ms. Betty Lou Cox, 74, will be held on Friday, June 19, 2020 at Cox’s Chapel Cemetery at 10:00 am with Kevin Cox officiating.
Ms. Cox passed away on June 17, 2020 at Alamo Nursing Home after a long battle with melanoma. She was born on April 10, 1946 to her late parents, Robert Edward “Jack” Smith and Era Shands Smith. She is preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, June Casey, Ann Craig, Robert Smith, and Susan Flowers Elam.
Surviving relatives are her husband, Russell Cox; and daughter, Angie Cox Reed.
Betty loved her family, her dog Poppy, sailing, world travel, and University of Tennessee football.
