Graveside Services for Mr. Tommy Don Leathers, age 81, of Alamo, were held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at Bellevue cemetery in Bells.
Mr. Don passed away peacefully on December 5, 2020 at his home. He was born, July 13, 1939, to the late Fred Thomas and Fern Culwell Leathers of Bells.
He is survived by his wife, Michelle Ann Leathers; son, Matthew Spry and wife Lauren; two daughters, Ali McCallister, Linda Williams and husband Brad of Arizona; grandson, Larsen Davis Spry; niece by marriage to the late Marjorie Leathers, Janeil Day and husband Jim; several cousins, other relatives, and many great friends.
Don retired after several years of farming and worked 31 years for the Gibson Electric Membership Cooperation. He served his community by becoming a board member of County Wide Utilities in May of 1989 where he was elected board president in July of 1989. Don also served on the Crockett County Industrial Board for several years. He retired from the Gibson Electric Membership Cooperation Board in 2019 after 22 years of service.
Don was an active member of Alamo First Baptist Church where he enjoyed worshipping and fellowshipping with family and friends. He was also a lifetime Mason.
