Melba Jean Rice

Mrs. Melba Jean Rice, surrounded by love, passed to her eternal heavenly home, Monday, August 22,2022.
Mrs. Rice was born May 9, 1935, to the late Richard and Nettie Lou Hutchison.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Franklin Rice; sisters, Darlene Martindale, Mary Ann Watkins; and brother, Charlie Hutchison.
Mrs. Rice is survived by her son, Lynn Rice (Andrea); daughters, Jackie Maher (Pete), Juran Neal (Benny Jr.); brothers, Jerry “Bo” Hutchison, Steve Hutchison; sisters, Maxine Morton, Betty Sue Ferrell; 9 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Rice had a fun joyful heart. She loved shopping, traveling, sightseeing, and county line dancing.
Mrs. Rice loved her family dearly. Her most favorite times were spent with them and spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jamie Garcia, Joseph Uselton, Corey Neal, Franklin Neal, Ethan Neal, Peter Lynn Maher, and Jack Maher.
Visitation for Mrs. Rice will held in the Ronk Funeral Home Chapel, Friday, August 26, 2022, from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be held at Nance Church of Christ, Saturday, August 27, 2022, at 11:00 A.M.
