Maxwell C. Collins

Maxwell C Collins, age 93, passed away peacefully, Friday December 31, 2021, at Alamo Nursing Home. He was born August 15, 1928 to the late Early and Elsie Collins of Greenfield, TN and was a member of the Alamo First United Methodist Church. 
He was preceded in death by his parents and his two brothers, Billy Collins and Doyle Collins.
Mr. Collins was an avid gardener and outdoorsman.  He proudly served in the United States Navy and was retired from Kellwood and Angelica Corporation.
He is survived by his wife of sixty nine years, Arlene Collins; two children, Cindy Conley (Butch) of Alamo, TN and Janet Butler (Carter) of Franklin, TN; two grandchildren, Melissa Loggins (Bobby) and Collin Butler, two great-grandchildren, Cadie Loggins and Lacey Loggins; one brother, Joe Collins.
Pallbearers are Greg Reasons, Charles Locher, Gary Reasons, Danny Marbury, Bobby Goode, and Jim Grant.
Funeral Services for Mr. Collins were held at Alamo First United Methodist Church, Monday, January 3, 2021.  Visitation was from 10 A.M. to 1 P.M. with services following at 1 P.M. with Larry Kendrick officiating.  Burial followed at Cypress United Methodist Church Cemetery.
