PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE #2

The Town of Maury City will hold a Public Meeting on March 23, 2022 at 4:00 p.m., at the Maury City Town Hall.  The purpose of this meeting is to present information on the completion of the Town of Maury City Imminent Threat Water Well Replacement Project funded under the 2018 Community Development Block Grant Program.

GRAND JURY NOTICE

It is the duty of your Grand Jury to investigate any public offense, which they have reason to believe has been committed and which is triable or indictable in this county. Any person having knowledge or proof that such an offense has been committed may apply to testify before the Grand Jury subject to the provisions of Tennessee Code Annotated, section 40-12-014. The Foreman for the Crockett County Grand Jury is currently Mr. Jule Nance, 549 E. Part Street in Alamo, Tennessee.
The Grand Jury will next meet on Monday, March 14, 2022 at 9:00 am. You may be prosecuted for perjury for any oral or written statement which you make under oath to the Grand Jury, when you know the statement to be false or when the statement touches on a matter material to the point in question.

NOTICE OF TRUSTEE’S SALE

WHEREAS, default has occurred in the performance of the covenants, terms, and conditions of a Deed of Trust Note dated September 14, 2018, and the Deed of Trust of even date securing the same, recorded September 17, 2018, in Book No. 312, at Page 25, in Office of the Register of Deeds for Crockett County, Tennessee, executed by Thomas Story, II and Christy Story, conveying certain property therein described to Law Office of Josh Shearon as Trustee for Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems, Inc., as beneficiary, as nominee for Everett Financial, Inc. CHILD FIND

The Crockett County, Bells, and Alamo School Systems are conducting a “Child Find” for children ages 3-21 who have special educational needs.  Child Find is required by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act of 1997, and the state of Tennessee.  Children who have, or are suspected of having special needs may be eligible to receive free services.  The services will include an evaluation for the child’s suspected needs and special services based on the identified needs which could include speech/language therapy, vision services, services for the hearing impaired, cognitive impairments, and those with learning disabilities. 

If you know of a child that needs special services, call the Special Education Department at your local school or contact the principal of a school in your area.  Anyone can refer a child.
