Larry Joe “L.J.” Crutchfield passed away at his home in Friendship, TN December 2,2022.
Larry was preceded in death by both his parents Jewel (Tude) Crutchfield, Margie Doss Crutchfield and Brother, Ricky Crutchfield.
He is survived by his wife Carla A Uselton Crutchfield, daughter Marcie Arnold (Ferris), son(s) Shawn Hughes (Amy), Brad Hughes (Terry) and daughter(s) Marsha Hughes (Robert) Sara Henson (Cody) and siblings Carol Barrett (Paul), Mike Crutchfield (Hazel), Steve Williamson (Lisa).
He also leaves behind 20 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren that he was “Papaw” to.
Larry was raised in Providence Community in Haywood Co, before moving to Alamo and graduating from Alamo City Highschool. He worked as Chief Deputy at Crockett Co Sheriffs Dept. Then moved on to work as Yard Master over the scrap yard at Gerdau Steel Mill in Jackson Tn, retiring after 33 plus years to work his small farm in Friendship Tn.
Visitation will be Wednesday December 7 from 11-2 at Ronk Funeral Home, Alamo Tn. Services to follow, in chapel, officiated by Grover Westover. Larry will then be laid to rest at Providence Cemetery, Providence Methodist Church in Haywood Co.
Pall bearers are Aaron Acor, Austin Acor, Ryan Hughes, Josh Fullington, Austin McDonald and Tim Holland.
