Mrs. Judy Kaye Schwerdt, 79, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2023 at the Bells Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bells, TN. She was born in Fulton, Ky, April 2, 1943, to the late William Stanley Stinnett and Sara Tuck. Judy was a teacher for over 32 years and taught at Alamo Elementary School until she retired.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, William Stanley Stinnett and Sara Stinnett. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her devoted husband of 56 years, John Schwerdt; sons, Chris Schwerdt (Bonnye), Marc Schwerdt (Chasta); brother, Lee Stinnett (June); and three beloved grandchildren, Braden, Weston and Julia Schwerdt.
Visitation for family and friends will be on Saturday, March 11, 2023, from 5:00-7:00pm at the Ronk Funeral Home in Alamo, TN. A Celebration of life for Judy will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, March 12, 2023, with visitation from 1:00 – 2:00 pm preceding the service in the sanctuary of the Alamo Church of Christ with Bobby Rawson officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service at Nance Cemetery.
Pallbearers for the service are Brad Laman, Andrew Evans, Thomas Vann Evans, Larry Harper, Braden Schwerdt, and Weston Schwerdt.
