Mr. James “Gabby” Talley entered his heavenly home, Sunday, January 22, 2023, at the age of 79. He was born in Hohenwald, TN, October 3, 1943, to the late Robert Jones Talley and Mary Duke Talley, and was a retiree of General Metals, in Humboldt, TN.
Mr. Talley is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Talley, and Mary Talley; brothers, Harlon Talley, Manual Talley, Hint Talley, and Tommy Talley; sister, Martha Bazzell.
He is survived by his son, Russ Talley; sister, Helen Ramsey; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and even great-great nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life for Mr. Talley will be held at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, January 26, 2023, in the sanctuary of the First Baptist Church in Gadsden, TN. The services will be officiated by Mike Jones and burial will follow at the Gadsden Cemetery. Mr. Talley’s family will receive visitors and friends at the Baptist Church Thursday morning, from 11:00 a.m. until the service time.
Pallbearers for the service will be Casey Bunn, Clayton Ramsey, Gary Richardson, Rusty McKnight, Gabe Ramsey, and Larry Trimmer.
