Mr. J.D. Harden passed away peacefully in Jackson, TN, June 18, 2022, at the age of 94. He was born November 14, 1927 to the late Joseph Ezekiel Harden and Lilly Mae Kelley Harden. Mr. J.D. retired from farming in 1990, and was blessed with many good years afterwards so that he could enjoy his retirement. Mr. J.D. was a member of Souls Harbor Pentecostal Church in Trenton, TN.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Violet Imogene Harden; granddaughter, Brooke Harden; siblings, Floyd Harden, Della Pilant, Blanton Harden, Bonnie King, Clyde Harden, and Eva Morris.
He leaves behind three sons, Lawrence Harden and wife Melba, Joe Harden , and wife Jane, Barry Harden, and wife Christie, of Middleton, VA; his daughter, Linda Clenney, and husband Rev. Don, of Huntsville, TX; sister, June Parks; grandchildren, Stephanie Ramey, husband Charles, Hollie Harden, Daryl Clenney, and wife Stephanie, Paula Richardson and husband Chris, Hannah Harden, Joseph Harden and wife Paige, Kellie Harden, Cheri Mayfield and husband Jeremy, Jeremy Young and wife Leslie; great grandchildren, Stormy Ramey, Summer Ramey, Kaitlyn Clenney, Zackary Clenney, Richae Richardson, Jared Richardson, and wife Tiffany, Grant Mayfield, Lane Mayfield, Drake Young, Lydia Young, and Joanna Harden.
A Celebration of Mr. J.D.’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 23, 2022, in the chapel of Ronk Funeral Home, with Rev. John Singleton officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Follis Chapel Cemetery in Trenton, TN.
Visitation for family and friends will begin at 12:00 noon, Thursday, June 23, 2022, and the family will receive visitors until the service begins at 2:00 p.m.
