On November 26, 2022, Jay Taylor gained his angel wings and went to be with his loved ones in Heaven.
J.C.(Jay) Taylor was born May 29, 1970 in Jackson Tennessee.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Arlin Emison of Bells and Mr. and Mrs. JC Taylor of Haywood County.
Jay is survived by his Mother, Pat Emison Taylor; Father, J.C. Taylor II (step-mother Robbie Taylor); Brothers, Tate Taylor of Alamo, Tennessee, Clayton Taylor (Amanda) of Alamo, Tennessee, Stephen Lumley (Stacy) of Alamo, Tennessee; sister, Dana Frye Lewis of Cleveland South Carolina; 3 nieces, Kayla Taylor Smith, Lacee Jo Taylor, Adalyne Smith; beloved step grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Joe Spraggins and many beloved Cousins, Aunts and Uncles.
Jay loved his family and held fond memories close to his heart. He loved nature, animals (especially his cats, Sookie and Bastet) and enjoyed collecting antiques and Star Wars memorabilia. He was an archivist and enjoyed preserving historical documents. His other interests were the Ann Rice novels and fan club where he was instrumental in the fan club balls.
Jay graduated from Crockett County High School in 1988. After graduation he attended Jackson State Community College majoring in business. He worked as a radio announcer for FM 104 and 106. What a beautiful voice he had. He later moved to Houston Texas and worked for Fox Sports Net as a senior Master Controller. He worked for Fox for 18 years and Disney for 2 years. He was loved by so many. He leaves behind a loving family, many friends in Texas, New Orleans and so many in Tennessee. A memorial will be held in the Ronk Funeral Home Chapel, Jan. 21, 2023 at 2:00 pm, visitation will start at 1:00 pm, Jan. 21, 2022 at Ronk Funeral Home. A reminder will be posted at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family asked donations be made to Crockett County N.O.A.H foundation.
