A single vehicle crash involving a blue Chevrolet Monte Carlo left one in critical condition just before 8 a.m. on Wednesday, January 15.

Thomas Buckner III, of Gadsden, was the only occupant of the vehicle at the time of the crash.

Buckner was traveling southbound on US Highway 70-79 when he turned onto the southbound Highway 412 ramp and lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle spun clockwise striking a utility pole against the drivers’ side door.

According to Tennessee Highway Patrol, Buckner was transported by ambulance to Jackson General Hospital in serious but stable condition.
