Driver trapped in vehicle following crash

On Thursday, October 17, a wreck in Gadsden resulted in one person becoming trapped inside their vehicle.

Nikki Blackburn, 24 of Dyer, was driving a 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix on Todd Levee Road in Gadsden when her vehicle was struck head-on by a 1995 Chevrolet Silverado driving by Martin Marable, 49 of Humboldt.

Blackburn was trapped inside her vehicle and was rescued when the emergency personnel arrived.

Both drivers were wearing their seatbelt and citations were issued on Marable.
