Carolyn Rose Coleman Tritt age 86 of Lenoir City passed away peacefully in her home on June 19, 2022 surrounded by her children. Growing up as the only child of farmers in Crockett County, Carolyn knew how to garden, ride horses, shoot a gun, hunt, plow with a team, drive a tractor, quilt, sew, canning foods, basic life skills for a country girl that she also passed down to her children. Some of these skills she continued to enjoy as hobbies until most recently. Mom and Dad took foster children into our home. Many of the 56 children that came to us, were considered hard to place, due to abuse, mental or physical disabilities, or children that were siblings and needed to stay together. Our family would love and nurture these children, to help grow their lives to the best of the child’s ability. It was a full family endeavor with Carolyn being the Queen Bee of the hive. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, David Mac Don Tritt; grandson, William David Smith, and parents, James Horace Coleman and Rosa Alley Kail Coleman. Carolyn is survived by her children, Sherry, Teresa, Don and Beverly; grandchildren: Dawn, Kristopher, Shannon, Amanda, Kindall, Ginger, Isaac, Emily, Heather, and Katelin; many great-grandchildren, in-law’s, nieces and nephews along with dear cousins that she loved; her sister and best friend, Laverne Holland. The family would like to thank MAE’S Senoir Care Givers and Avalon Hospice both for their amazing help during Carolyn’s last days. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. est on Friday, June 24th at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Mr. Steve Riley and Mr. Richard Powlus officiating. The family will also receive friends on Saturday, June 25th from 12 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. cst at Ronk Funeral Home in Alamo, TN. A service will follow at 12:30 p.m. with Mr. George Coleman and Mr. Dennis Jenkins officiating. A private interment will be held in the Alamo City Cemetery. The family requests no flowers or plants.
