29th Annual Business and Industry Appreciation Golf Tournament

The 29th Annual Business and Industry Appreciation Golf Tournament was held on September 16 at the Crockett Golf and Country Club in Alamo. The annual tournament is held by the Crockett County Chamber of Commerce to show appreciation to the county’s business and industry.

There were 23 teams registered to play this year. Winners for the day were Lionel Hughes and Tony Todd in first place championship flight followed by Bubba Argo and Pate Randall in second place.

First flight winners were David Hart and Anthony Hart with Richard and Tracey Harber coming in second.

Longest Drive, sponsored by Tennessee Tractor (men’s) and McDonald’s (women’s) were women’s winner was Tracy Harber and men’s winner Al Overton.

Men’s Closest to the Pin winner was Cy Young for Hole #3 and Women’s Closest to the Pin winner was Tracey Harber for Hole #2 sponsored by Forcum Lannom and Merle Norman/Just for You.

The Golf Ball Drop, sponsored by Travis Vance and Troy Matthews of Farm Bureau, and the bucket truck provided by Gibson EMC, was won by David Hardin.

“Congratulations to all the teams and a big thank you to the staff of the Crockett Golf and Country Club,” said Crockett County Chamber Director Jordan Spraggins. “This amazing day would not have been possible if not for all those who worked tirelessly throughout the day.”

Other sponsors included The Peoples Bank sponsored the Highest Overall Score. The Sweet Life prepared lunches for the teams and workers which was sponsored by Gibson EMC and Pictsweet.
