HAZARD MITIGATIONS

It’s that time of the year again. Time to work on the county’s Hazard Mitigation Plans. All are welcome. This meeting is open to the public as well as all businesses, organizations, schools, city and county utilities, city and county mayors and department heads. TEMA will be onsite to discuss any concerns or changes you wish to address in the county’s Hazard Mitigation Plans. This meeting will be held at the Crockett County EMA Traning room in the front office at 6 pm this Thursday, Feb. 04, 2022 Looking forward to seeing you there.

Crockett County will hold a Public Meeting on February 15, 2022 at 12:00
p.m., at the Crockett County Courthouse. The purpose of this meeting is to
present information to the public on the FY 2022 Community Development
Block Grant Program. Concerned citizens are encouraged to attend and
comment on possible activities.
Persons with disabilities requiring special accommodations should contact

REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP)

Notice of available funding to serve as the WIOA Title I Adult and Dislocated Worker Service Provider and/or Title 1 Youth Service Provider for the Northwest Tennessee Workforce Development Area serving the counties of: Benton, Carroll, Crockett, Dyer, Gibson, Henry, Lake, Obion, and Weakley.  Thomas P. Miller & Associates, LLC (TPMA) is serving as the independent procurement entity for the Northwest Tennessee Workforce Development Board. Deadline for bids is at 4:00 p.m. CST, 2/28/2022. The total cost of the programs is funded 100% by Federal WIOA dollars and 0% funded by non-governmental sources. Budget is $625,000 including $500,000 for Adult & Dislocated Worker / National Dislocated Worker Grant funds, and $125,000 for RESEA.  An additional $500,000 pass-through line item will be awarded for Direct Participant Costs. For the Title 1 Youth Service provider the budget is $225,000 and an additional $250,000 pass-through line item will be awarded for Direct Participant Costs.

The Crockett County Board of Education is accepting bids for new playground for Gadsden Elementary School located at 19040 Hwy. 79 Gadsden, TN. 38337. A sealed envelope marked “playground bid” on the outside must be received prior to the bid deadline of noon, 12:00pm February 23, 2022 at the office of the Board of Education, 102 N. • All proposed equipment must fit into playground footprint 5,200 sq. feet and include safety surfacing for all zones areas.
• Proposal should include surfacing, equipment, installation, pavilion, and borders
• Color scheme should match school colors
• Bid should include equipment manufacturer warranty
• Bids should include rubber mulch for surfacing, swing and slide mats, one 5-12 unit, one 2-5 unit, set of swings, 3 other small pieces, a 20×20 pavilion, and concrete borders.
This project falls under the requirements of the Davis-Bacon Act. Selected contractors must provide certified payroll documentation to meet prevailing wages set by the Department of Labor.
